Lungauer TAUERN KRONE Challenge 2026

Der Gensgitschtrail ist 37 Kilometer lang und umfasst 2.035 Höhenmeter. Er startet in Mariapfarr und führt nach einem steilen Anstieg durch Wälder und Wiesen mit schönen Ausblicken auf das Taurachtal. Der Trail geht weiter über Lintsching und ein stilles Moor bis nach St. Andrä, wo sich die erste Labestation befindet. Von dort führt der Trail über den Wiesberg und traumhafte Singletrails zum Vordereck und hinauf zur Wildbachhütte, wo erneut eine Erholungspause eingelegt werden kann. Nach einem Abstieg durch Lessach geht es mit atemberaubendem Ausblick auf die Moorlandschaft weiter über abwechslungsreiche Singletrails und Forstwege hinauf zur Preberhalterhütte. Nach einem weiteren Abschnitt führt der Trail bergab zur Grazer Hütte und anschließend hinunter zum Prebersee, von wo die letzten Meter zum Ziel bei der Ludlalm führen. Der Teambewerb ist eine Kombinationswertung aus Gensgitschtrail und Prebertrail und wird von 2er Teams bestritten.

The Gensgitschtrail is 37 kilometres long and covers 2035 metres in altitude. It starts in Mariapfarr and, after a steep climb, leads through forests and meadows with beautiful views of the Taurach Valley. The trail continues via Lintsching and a quiet moor to St. Andrae, where the first refreshment stop is located. From there, the trail leads over the Wiesberg and fantastic single trails to the Vordereck and up to the Wildbachhuette, where you can take a break. After a descent through Lessach, the route continues towards Prebersee, with breathtaking views of the moorland landscape.The Panorama Trail, the highlight of the trail, leads over varied single trails and forest tracks up to the Preberhalterhuette and offers breathtaking views of the Preber region and the Preber summit. After another section, the trail leads downhill to the Grazer Huette and then down to the Prebersee before the last few metres lead to the finish at the Ludlalm. The team competition is a combined score from the Gensgitschtrail and Prebertrail and is contested by teams of two.
