Du läufst von Gondo durch die imposante Gondoschlucht nach Simplon Dorf, dann zum Simplonpass und zum höchsten Punkt auf dem Bistinenpass (2417 m ü. M.) ins Nanztal und durch die Saltinaschlucht nach Brig. Im Gedenken an die allererste Austragung, als die Brücke vom Unwetter weggerissen worden war, wird der kalte Bergbach 2 km vor dem Ziel durchquert (gut gesichert durch die Feuerwehr).
