Spanning the millennia old Shu Roads from Jiange to Zhaohua in northern Sichuan, this epic trail starts at Jiange Stadium and ascends to the summit of Daping Mountain at 1,073 meters above sea level.

From the perilous ridges of Jianmen's Seventy Two Peaks to the lantern lit merchant houses beneath Zhaohua's Jiameng Archway, competitors will pass supply stations embedded in the Tea Horse Road network. With more than 600 meters of elevation variance, this ultimate traverse blends the technical challenge of Shu Road's heaven defying terrain, as lamented in Li Bai's the Hard Roads to Shu, with fluid trail running rhythm. Every footstep lands upon poetic verses of history, tracing growth rings in the living chronicle of China's most legendary mountain corridor.
