La via di Annibale - Hannibal trail 2024

Nel panorama delle corse in montagna, una parte importante è detenuta dalle corse con maggior difficoltà tecnica unita ad una indiscutibile bellezza paesaggistica. “La Via di Annibale Sky Marathon” può asserire di poter unire queste due caratteristiche. Già nel 2018 è stata sede del campionato italiano FISKY di sky running ed è nuovamente candidata per il 2024. Atleti provenienti da Pamplona, Glasgow, Mosca, Parigi oltre che da tutta Italia hanno avuto il piacere di cimentarsi in questi anni in questa corsa così entusiasmante. La gara si svolge tra la Valle di Susa, la Venoise - Morienne (Fr) e la Valle di Viù attraversando i comuni di Usseglio, Bessans, Novalesa, Mompantero, Bussoleno e Chianocco . Abbiamo parlato di paesaggi montani capaci di suggestionare gli atleti in gara. Nella foto qui sopra un esempio di quello che è la nostra montagna fuori dalle nevi e dai ghiacciai. Un mondo fiabesco che tenta, con successo, di fermare i corridori per un’occhiata a questo spettacolo prima di riprendere la discesa. Tanti sono gli scorci come questo, tutti entrano nei ricordi dei partecipanti infatti, non per nulla, questa è la Sky Marathon ‘terribile e magnifica’. Questa corsa vuole ricordare il passaggio di Annibale nel 218 a.C. dal Colle dell’Autaret nell’Alta Valle di Viù, nelle Valli di Lanzo. E’ anche un pretesto per correre in un ambiente naturalmente integro dove l’altitudine, il Sole, il vento e la neve sono i dominatori e padroni. Una corsa di alta montagna che parte ed arriva ad Usseglio (To). La gara si svolge il primo week-end di settembre, in condizioni che potrebbero essere molto difficili (vento, freddo, pioggia o neve) e che necessita di un buon allenamento specifico, materiale adatto ed una capacità di autonomia personale. La partenza avviene alle ore 6 di fronte agli hotel “Grandusseglio” e “Rocciamelone”. Sebbene sia l’inizio di settembre è ancora notte fonda e lo sarà per ancora circa un’ora. Nel parco davanti a questi due hotel sono collocati gli archi gonfiabili, le strutture per il ristoro, la zona dedicata al folklore, il gazebo per il massaggiatore ed altre iniziative. Questa presentazione, sufficientemente esaustiva, illustra quella che è una corsa con grandi possibilità di crescita. Nata nel 2015 è costantemente cresciuta e continua ancora a farlo aggiungendo altre vette come i 3538 del Rocciamelone. Come ci è stato fatto osservare, dagli atleti che vi hanno partecipato, alcune cose che la caratterizzano e distinguono dalle altre: • Sentimento di amicizia riscontrato lungo il tracciato dai volontari, nei rifugi e nell'organizzazione. • Indiscutibile unicità del percorso. • Elevato numero di volontari sul percorso che trasmettono sicurezza.

In the panorama of mountain races, an important part is held by races with greater technical difficulty combined with unquestionable scenic beauty. “La Via di Annibale Sky Marathon” can claim to be able to combine these two characteristics. Already in 2018 it was home to the Italian FISKY sky running championship and is again a candidate for 2024. Athletes from Pamplona, Glasgow, Moscow, Paris as well as from all over Italy have had the pleasure of trying their hand at this exciting race in recent years. The race takes place between the Susa Valley, the Venoise - Morienne (Fr) and the Viù Valley, crossing the municipalities of Usseglio, Bessans, Novalesa, Mompantero, Bussoleno and Chianocco. A fairytale world that successfully tries to stop the runners for a look at this spectacle before continuing the descent. There are many views like this, they all enter the memories of the participants, in fact, not for nothing, this is the 'terrible and magnificent' Sky Marathon. This race wants to remember Hannibal's passage in 218 BC. from the Colle dell'Autaret in the Upper Viù Valley, in the Lanzo Valleys. It is also an excuse to run in a naturally intact environment where the altitude, the sun, the wind and the snow are the dominators and masters. A high mountain race that starts and ends in Usseglio (To). The race takes place on the first weekend of September, in conditions that could be very difficult (wind, cold, rain or snow) and which requires good specific training, suitable material and a capacity for personal autonomy. The departure takes place at 6 am in front of the “Grandusseglio” and “Rocciamelone” hotels. Even though it is the beginning of September, it is still late at night and will be so for another hour or so. In the park in front of these two hotels there are inflatable arches, refreshment facilities, the area dedicated to folklore, the gazebo for the masseur and other initiatives. This sufficiently comprehensive presentation illustrates what is a race with great growth possibilities. Born in 2015, it has constantly grown and continues to do so, adding other peaks such as the 3538 of Rocciamelone. As was pointed out to us by the athletes who participated, some things that characterize it and distinguish it from the others: • Feeling of friendship found along the route by the volunteers, in the shelters and in the organization. • Indisputable uniqueness of the route. • High number of volunteers on the route who convey safety.
