Marathon Trail di 40 km circa e D+ 2.500, la GR40 si sviluppa su un percorso ad anello da/a Revine Lago sulla parte nord-orientale della catena prealpina; incrocia, dopo una decina di Km, il tracciato delle gare lunghe e condivide fino all’arrivo quello della GR80 godendo a lungo degli impareggiabili panorami circostanti.
Marathon Trail of approximately 40 km and with an elevation gain of 2.500 meters, the GR40 develops on a circular route from and to Revine Lago in the north-eastern part of the pre-Alpine chain; after about ten kilometers, intersecting, after about ten km, with the routes of the longer races and sharing the course of the GR80 until the finish, enjoying the unparalleled surrounding views for a long time.
