About the Race

From snow gum forests and alpine plains to wind swept ridgelines and historic high-country huts, the GSER 50 Mile offers a spectacular slice of Victoria’s iconic High Country. This is mountain running at its most raw and rewarding. Our 50 miler event has been designed to allow runners who have conquered a 56k or 60km trail running event to take that next step, with the desire of conquering the mountains. The course tackles trails that are predominantly single track and includes a section of the historical Australian Alps Walking Trail. The grit and determination it takes participants to finish will be nothing short of extraordinary. The experience along the way – priceless.
