About the Race

The Cascade Trail Challenge, or CTC, is an ITRA-certified 37.78 km mountain trail race in Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines, and part of the Philippine Mountain Trail Festival, or PMTF, which also hosts the Hardcore 100 Miles, the first 100 mile trail race in the Philippines. The course runs through the Cordillera highlands past a series of cascading waterfalls, with 2,665 m of total elevation gain. It climbs to a high point of 1,921 m above sea level and is supported by three aid stations and one water-only station. Less than 10 percent of the route runs on concrete roads. The rest follows single track trails, dirt and gravel paths, streams, and grasslands.
