5th YMITTOS MARATHON 2025

The start is behind the Gymnastic House of Argyroupolis and for 200 m we move on an asphalt road, we ascend through a gravel and dirt road for 2.5 km and then we enter an uphill path to the Church of Taxiarchis at the 4th km, up to 3 km .Then we go down a technical path to reach the position of Madri at the 5th km hydration point and continuing the technical path with uphill and downhill alternations we will be led to the entrance of the ancient SFITTIA street 6th km.Here we move in pines and ascend to the col "STAVROS" 7.5 km, having so far 600 m of positive altitude..Then we follow a pine-covered uphill path that will lead us to the top of SESSI (11th km) and from there descending we will turn on a dirt mountain road to reach the Hunting Kiosk of Koropi at the 12th km, here is the first station "SESI". From here we will climb the very difficult path "10", where in 2 km we climb 400 meters positive and it will lead us to the mobile antennas of Argyroupolis.Then through a dirt mountain road and having on our right the Evzonas Peak (1050m), the highest of Ymittos, we will reach the 16th km where we enter a technical downhill rocky path that passes through Gidospilia and requires great attention! The path will lead us to the monastery of Agios Ioannis Kareas, where the second station "MONASTERY OF AGIOS IOANNIS KAREA" is located, 18th km. From here begins an uphill path for about 800 m with a positive altitude of 200 m which will lead us to the Shelter of EOS Ilioupolis and then on a dirt downhill mountain road for about 9 km.Descending the downhill dirt road we will pass by the Cave of Bibesi, the area of ​​Ilioupoli Astinomika, to enter the gravel road, which we moved to the start and finish at the Gymnastic House of Argyroupolis.
