On Saturday 7th June 2025 in Brecon, Powys, this unique evening marathon starts at 5pm from Talybont on Usk. Runners will be challenged to conquer the stunning Bannau Brychiniog as they run through forests, over streams, past waterfalls, and up mountains. From the lakes and forests to the highest point in South Wales (and back down again) this is a truly iconic route. The marathon includes part of the 'Fan Dance', a famous route used in British Special Forces selection, featuring an ascent of Pen y Fan standing at 2,907ft / 886m. Don't miss this opportunity to test your limits and experience the beauty of the Brecon Beacons under the starry night sky. What sets this race apart from other races is the midnight cut off, meaning runners must complete the course before the clock strikes twelve. The Midnight Mountain Marathon is no ordinary marathon.
