The WILD offers 5 epic mountain runs ranging from 9km to 85k in length. The races feature breathtaking mountain scenery, 0% tarmac, heavenly single track and LOTS of elevation. All races start and finish in beautiful historic Arrowtown, an old gold mining town that is just 20 mins drive from Queenstown International Airport.
This is a time trial race that has runners heading off at 15-20 sec intervals in their quest to be crowned the Beast of Beetham. The uphill is steady to steep and the downhill is bruising and quite technical. The run finishes with a couple of kms of flat river trail.
