The RED 50K is the most demanding and prestigious race of the Prokletije Trail, created for experienced trail runners in search of a true mountain challenge. The race begins in the centre of Plav and leads runners toward the breathtaking Hridsko Lake, before diving deep into the wild and rugged heart of the Prokletije Mountains, along the border between Montenegro and Kosovo. This course delivers a powerful mix of high-alpine trails, remote and untouched landscapes, technical sections, and wide-open panoramic views that make Prokletije one of the most dramatic mountain ranges in Europe. After crossing the high mountain terrain, the route descends back toward the finish line in the centre of Plav. With a total elevation gain of 2,670 metres, RED 50K is a true test of endurance, strength, and mountain skills a race reserved for those ready to push beyond their limits.
