100Miles: Not for the weak but fun for the crazy. KAR Ultra 100M offers a truly demanding ultra-marathon experience, crafted for those ready to go beyond limits. This epic route forms a massive loop through the stunning Kadamaian Valley, stretching across the foothills of Mount Kinabalu and into parts of the Tuaran District including Bundu Tohuri and Kg. Tombolik, covering approximately 10% of the district. Runners will be immersed in Sabah’s breathtaking landscapes, but make no mistake, the real test lies in the relentless heat, punishing humidity, rugged gravel roads, and unforgiving terrain. The true adventure begins at Bukit Bogung, where grit is tested, followed by the newly introduced Pinolobuh–Podos route a former logging complex from the 80s–90s, now reclaimed by nature. This section takes runners deep into pristine jungle, where cooler temperatures contrast sharply with the lowland heat, and elevations climb to nearly 1,000 meters above sea level. Another new route for KAR Miles is Bukit Sokid-Okid, located in Kg. Melangkap Kapa. From this point, runners are rewarded with a breathtaking view of Mount Kinabalu standing majestically before them. The scenery is truly unforgettable and serves as a powerful motivation along the course.
