Ultra staza Gledić Ultra predstavlja pravu planinsku avanturu koja spaja guste šume, vidikovce, planinske potoke, obalu Grošničkog jezera i najlepše vrhove Gledićkih planina.
The Gledic Ultra Trail course is a true mountain adventure that combines dense forests, scenic viewpoints, mountain streams, the shoreline of Grosnica Lake, and the most beautiful peaks of the Gledic Mountains. The route is a loop course and highly diverse, with frequent changes between climbs and descents, requiring smart energy management and experience in mountain running. The first kilometer follows an asphalt village road, after which the course enters gravel and forest roads. In total, the route contains around 2 km of asphalt, which represents approximately 3.5 percent of the course, while 96.5 percent of the trail consists of gravel roads, dirt tracks, forest paths, and mountain terrain. Right from the beginning, runners face the first serious climb towards Lis, followed by a fast forest descent to the Grosnica River. The route then continues with another climb towards the village of Adzine Livade, where the first aid station is located. The course continues over Vucija Kosa and Gradina, followed by one of the most technically demanding descents of the race towards the dam at Grosnica Lake, where the second aid station is located. From the dam begins one of the hardest sections of the route - a steep climb above the lake that tests the strength and endurance of every participant. After that, the trail continues along a gravel road beside the lake shore, and then passes through the village of Tresnjevak before starting a long and steady climb towards Crni Vrh. At kilometer 32, the third aid station awaits, offering a hot meal, refreshments, and a time cutoff of 7 hours. The second half of the ultra course does not allow for relaxation. Long ridge climbs, fast descents, and shorter technical ascents constantly challenge the runners and consume their energy. Although none of the individual climbs are as long as the ascent towards Crni Vrh, their number and repetition make the final part of the race physically demanding. The final kilometers bring several rolling climbs before the last descent towards the finish line in the village of Dulene.
