*  Fair-play

Fair-play indicates the loyal acceptance of rules, not only to the letter but also in the spirit which presides over their definition.

For the runners, to be fair-play means respecting the race regulations, not cheating, not bending the rules, refusing all forms of doping; but also embodying the human values of trail-running throughout all of their races; mutual aid and solidarity with the other runners, respect for all the players present at the races.

For organisers, respecting fair-play supposes the implementation of the necessary means to fight against "...cheating, bending the rules, doping, ...physical and verbal violence ...exploitation, unequal opportunities, excessive commercialisation and corruption" (extract from the Council of Europe’s Code of Sports Ethics).

Runner insurance

ITRA thought to a new service specially designed for you !

 

 

No matter if you are an ambitious runner, a newcomer or an old hand at running, if you like to explore trails in both summer and winter, for a walk or a long run, this service is made for you !

We propose you to do the sporting activities you love, with complete freedom, independently and in a responsible way. Freedom, yes ! But safety first !

We have worked in partnership with ASSURINCO and MUTUAIDE ASSISTANCE to design a runner insurance that meets your needs for your race.

This insurance is valid worldwide, for all the ITRA members who are up-to-date with their membership.

Two options are proposed to you :

  • Yearly contract : you are insured during one year !
  • Temporary contract : you are insured for one race only.

Activities covered by the insurance

  • Running, trail-running, hiking, trekking, bicycle touring and mountain bike, cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking.

Practice environment

  • In family, in group or in individual : trainings, hiking, competitions, route recognition and walks.

 

 

       If an accident occurs during the race, the insurer will assume research & rescue expenses, including :

  • Rescue and evacuation expenses in helicopter,
  • Ambulance costs,
  • Transportation costs to the hospital.

 

 

       The insurer also organizes :

  • Your repatriation to your home* or your medical transportation to a medical center close to your home, (*in your country of residence)
  • The repatriation of the persons accompanying you, including children under 18.

 

 

       The insurer supports :

  • Medical expenses incurred up to 150 000€
  • Transport of another person (family or friend) who will visit you in the event of hospitalization,
  • Additional transportation fees (for you and your family) in case of early return,
  • replacement driver if you are ill or injured and no one can drive your vehicle.
